As a Contaminant Hydrogeologist, you will join our Western Canadian offices as part of our Assessment, Remediation, Reclamation and Monitoring (ARRM) team. The successful applicant will be involved in a broad range of projects with responsibilities as follows:
- Actively participate and drive Montrose’s strong safety culture- Oversee and/or technically support the management of site assessment, remediation and monitoring project scopes, timelines, budgets, and communication with clients and project related stakeholders- Prepare and/or review technical correspondence, proposals, work plans, cost estimates, and reports- Ensure internal communication and collaboration to facilitate delivery of high-quality products to meet our clients’ unique project needs- Work within a well-organized, and innovative culture with support systems that empower our professionals to focus on providing high quality solutions to our clients- Transfer knowledge, share experiences, and support the training and mentorship of colleagues- Be part of a technical practice community that supports team and personal innovation, and growth and success at all levels- Proactively engage and participate in development opportunities and your career growth
What We Are Looking For- An undergraduate or graduate degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or a related field- Registration in or a member in good standing of a professional organization (e.g. APEGA)- A minimum of 8 years’ consulting experience in site assessment, remediation, and monitoring projects with a focus on hydrogeology- Knowledge and experience with the BC, Alberta and/or Saskatchewan regulatory frameworks- Experience with borehole logging, sample collection, field screening, and sample selection- Strong data evaluation skills and ability to make decisions based on findings- Experience writing and reviewing technical reports, work plans and cost estimates and giving presentations to multi-stakeholder groups- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), and a collaborative attitude- Willingness to provide technical direction and mentorship to junior professionals- Experience with Workday software would be an asset- A valid and clean class 5 driver’s license with no restrictions- Preference given to those who have experience managing complex salt or hydrocarbon impacted sites
