The Landscape Technician is responsible for performing a variety of work tasks (generally physical labor) in order to assist with the completion of landscape construction projects. The landscape technician will be required to operate a variety of tools and equipment to carry out specific job tasks.

**Job Duties**:

- Assist in the construction and installation of hardscape features such as walkways, driveways, patios, retaining walls, fences, decks, and steps
- Perform site preparation and grading using hand tools and machinery
- Load, transport, and place construction materials such as aggregates, pavers, concrete, stone, and lumber
- Operate small machinery including mini skid steers, mini excavators, track dumpers, plate compactors, and saws
- Use various hand and power tools including: laser levels, jackhammers, drills, compactors, saws, hammers, shovels, and levels
- Read and interpret blueprints, landscape construction drawings, and project specifications
- Assist foreman with daily tasks to ensure projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards
- Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment (e.g., cleaning, lubrication, inspection)
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of tools and materials at job sites
- Follow site safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times
- Comply with all company policies and local health and safety regulations

**Requirements**:

- Landscape experience is an asset but not mandatory, most of our employees don’t have experience at first
- Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Time management skills
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
- Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks

**Work Conditions**:

- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Requires good manual dexterity
- Excellent stamina is required
- Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
- Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold
- Flexible working hours including occasional weekend work

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
