Position: Building Manager (Live-In preferred, Full Time, Permanent)

We’re hiring a seasoned Building Manager to lead operations at a brand-new 196-unit residential rental property in Cloverdale, Surrey—opening this November. As the Building Manager, you’ll be the heartbeat of the property—leading the on-site team, coordinating maintenance and tenant services, and ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently. The primary function of this position is to lead the day-to-day operations of the property. Job Responsibilities

Tenant Relations
- Lease-up: Find and onboard tenants for this brand-new property
- Respond to tenant inquiries and deliver exceptional customer service
- Show vacant units and prepare them for new residents
- Assist with rent arrears and posting notices
- Maintain accurate resident files
- Prepare detailed move-in/move-out and incident reports

Property Maintenance
- Conduct regular inspections of common areas, mechanical rooms, and exterior spaces
- Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and contractor services
- Attend to emergencies, including after-hours
- Perform minor suite repairs (carpentry, drywall, painting—bonus skill)
- Ensure compliance with building regulations and safety standards

Administrative Duties
- Follow operational procedures set by the Property Manager
- Advertise vacancies, schedule viewings, and interview prospective tenants
- Support occupancy goals post-lease-upQualifications
- Proven experience as a Building Manager
- Strong knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Hands-on approach with basic maintenance skills (plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry)
