**Position Summary**
As the Building Operations and Maintenance Manager, you play an integral role in the operations of the branch building, including overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operating conditions of systems and equipment. In addition, you are responsible for ensuring the branch is a safe work environment for all employees, customers, and contractors.

You may have a trade certification or other experience that will allow you to troubleshoot and repair some of these systems, or you will be able to recognize the issues and contact the appropriate external support.

- **Team Player.** Your work will bring you in contact with employees and third-party contractors/suppliers. Good communication and teamwork skills will be required.
- **Stamina.** The work can be physical, requiring some heavy lifting and carrying, climbing, and bending. The work environment can be hot or cold, rainy, or snowy, dusty, or greasy, early or late.
- **Organization.**This is a detail-oriented position and you have already developed personal systems for organizing your work. You will follow and continue to develop a proactive maintenance schedule to ensure peak performance of all building systems. As well as organizing your work, you will need to maintain an organized facility yard, which includes basic operation of heavy equipment and basic computer and administrative skills required for tracking the equipment movement.

**Experience Required**:
- OFA Level 3 certification - or willingness and ability to obtain ASAP
- 2-5 Years of commercial building operations and maintenance experience
- Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and roofing
- Experience with accident investigation, workplace inspection and job hazard analysis
- Thorough understanding of current WorkSafe legislation and OH&S regulations
- Strong sense of urgency for following through to address issues, meet deadlines and commitments
- Excellent problem solving and organization skills with the ability to work on multiple projects
- Experience and/or knowledge in heavy equipment industry is an asset
- Superior customer relation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong technical background and capable of communicating with technicians and customers

- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
