**Opportunity**:
MacEwan University is seeking a Program Manager for a full-time, 12-month Non-Recurring Term opportunity with the School of Continuing Education.
Reporting to the Program Director, Training and Educational Development, the Program Manager is responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of continuing professional education programs, supporting all phases of delivery from program planning, launch, delivery, evaluation and review. You will deliver excellent customer service to instructors, students, and program participants, successfully supporting the delivery of face-to-face and online non-credit courses.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of continuing education programs - responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of multiple projects within the assigned portfolio of programs;
- Developing and maintaining an overall project management framework and employing project management best practices. Maintaining full project life cycle coordination from initiation through to completion, including coordinating project resources, reporting on project deliverables, ensuring key milestones are reached and developing change management, issues management, and communication plans; ensuring projects are completed within timelines, budget and set objectives;
- Collaborating with team members to set program, enrollment and marketing schedules in accordance with established program timelines and best practices;
- Maintaining communication throughout the project design and development processes, keeping stakeholders and contributors accountable to established timelines;
- Maintaining a master list of program instructors including which courses they are approved to teach and prioritization for future course section employment offers. Collaborating with Program Administrators to issue employment contracts;
- Conducting course and program evaluations, and incorporating feedback into course and program re-development; and
- Providing feedback to instructors based on evaluation results; in the event that performance concerns are brought forward regarding instructors (i.e., performance feedback), the Program Manager will inform and escalate the concern to the SR Program Manager/Program Director.

- The ability to bring projects to successful completion on time and on budget;
- A proven ability to troubleshoot and manage project issues challenges effectively and proactively;
- A demonstrated understanding of cost accounting principles including break-even/profit analysis for individual projects;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with external stakeholders and internal stakeholders at varying levels within the organization;
