SKY Hangar is a fully operational helicopter hangar located in the Pitt Meadows Airport (YPK). Our hangar is unique in that we are also a fully equipped events space, with a stage, in-house sound system, RGB lighting, projectors and more With thrilling helicopter tourism by day and all categories of events throughout the year, our work environment is never dull. **WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**

SKY Hangar is seeking professional and reliable individuals to join our growing venue and events crew. As a part of our events team, you will be responsible for working alongside our Venue/Events Management in running event day operations. Tasks will be delegated to you and include items such as:

- Ensuring high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction leading up to and during events
- Coordinating with clients, vendors, and event planners on event days for venue related items to complete successful events
- Address customer inquiries and feedback promptly and professionally, or seeking prompt answers from management when unsure
- Liaising with SKY Helicopters for event client flights, airside access for event loading/unloading, and so on
- Following shift duties checklists and opening/closing procedures

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**

**All Positions**:

- Previous experience in the events/hospitality, management, administrative and/or related fields is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and staff
- Ability to work within a face paced environment, while “thinking on your feet” in a calm and confident manner
- Self-starter mentality; taking action as needed and anticipating items prior to being requested/needed
- Detail oriented focus with exceptional organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively within the role
- Must have the ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs safely on your own
- Must have access to reliable transportation to and from scheduled shifts
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check

**Lead/Supervisor Positions**:

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Proficiency in cash/payment system handling procedures and financial accountability
- Understanding and ability to use basic excel spreadsheets, outlook, data logs, canva, etc.
- Previous experiences within event and/or management roles is an asset, but not required

**HOURS & COMPENSATION**

**Casual Employees**:
**HOURS & COMPENSATION, BENEFITS PACKAGE & VACATION**

**Full-time Position**:
Wednesday-Sunday from ~9:00am-5:00pm weekly. It is expected that this schedule may have slight changes depending on the event and rental schedule. All work days include a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

This is an hourly based position compensated at $24.00CAD per hour. Annual vacation entitlement is granted in accordance with the Canada Labour Code (two weeks per year, beginning in your second year of employment).

Enrolment in our group extended benefit plan is a mandatory condition of employment. Benefits will commence after 6 months of employment.
