**Pilates Instructor [Independent Contractor Position]**

**Location: Coquitlam and Brentwood**

- Joining our team as a Pilates instructor will allow you to work with a broad range of people and guide groups of clients to improve their muscular endurance, balance, stability, and core strength.
- Provide a safe and welcoming environment for attendees by checking the area for safety and reporting any risk, ensuring that all users are safe to participate and are advised of what to do if they are not, and putting clients at ease.
- Teach Pilates classes for different clients ranging from 1:1 to 1:6 classes.
- Promotes the benefits of Pilates and overall general health benefits of exercises.
- Designing a Pilates program based on posture types and ability.
- Teach classes of mixed ability, catering to varying needs of clients and offering adaptations and progressions as well as modifications where necessary.

**Qualifications**:

- At least 1 year of teaching experience in Pilates or related field is required
- Previous Education and Certification in exercise-instructing field is Recommended
- Bachelor in Kinesiology or Exercise Physiology
- Personal Training Certification
- Relevant training and certification in Pilates is required. The recommended training is as follows but not limited to:

- PMA (Pilates Method Alliance) Certification
- Stott Pilates Certification

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

- Weekends as needed
