Reporting to the Associate Dean, Engineering and Environmental Technologies the incumbent develops and delivers Surveying courses in Architectural and Environmental Technician/Technology programs. **Courses may be scheduled and delivered during the day or evening in Barrie.** Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

- Delivering Surveying courses in the Architectural and Environmental Technician/Technology programs; specifically Delivering the Environmental Surveying (SURV 2002) and/or the Architectural Surveying (SURV 1002) courses.
- Developing and delivering appropriate curriculum to meet course objectives
- Incorporating a variety of teaching / learning strategies to meet student needs
- Evaluating student progress / achievement
- Participating in program and college activities as required
- Participating in program revision and renewal activities as required
- Creating and maintaining a positive learning environment

Qualifications:

- A Bachelor degree in in a related field or acquired significant industry experience after graduating from a related advanced diploma program
- Relevant experience in cadastral, topographic and control surveying, monitoring surveys and survey layout.
- Current membership, or affiliation, with relevant professional associations (e.g. AOLS)
- Experience managing change and leading innovation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to life-long learning
- Computer literacy: MS Office, GIS Software
- Proven ability to work in a team environment and to foster the same in students
- Experience in some or all of the following is an asset: curriculum development, a variety of delivery strategies, adult learning methodologies, academic advising, and student success strategies
- Teaching and Training Adults certification and / or experience in a teaching or training capacity is an asset
