We have an exciting opportunity for a talented** Social Media & Marketing Intern** to join our team The Social Media Intern will become part of Secure Digital Markets’ Marketing Team in order to help develop and support the social media initiatives of the firm. This will involve the creation, distribution and strategy of content, increasing engagement within the audience and networking to grow the thought leadership and branding of our social presence, with advanced proficiency in various social media optimization approaches.

**Responsibilities & Expectations**

Based out of our Downtown Toronto office, you will have direct contact with all team members at the firm to help us propel our social media strategy forward, and have the opportunity to take ownership, develop and innovate many of the processes within the social media space of SDM, whilst under the guidance of an extremely experienced and well rounded team.

**_ Key Responsibilities_**:

- Level up our marketing game for the trading desk by promoting our internal analysis in the form of Medium articles and Twitter threads
- Work directly with traders to promote actionable and time-sensitive information.
- Assist in the execution of social media marketing strategies
- Create and share funny/witty memes.
- Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms.
- Assist in the creation and editing of written and photo content
- Create beautiful visuals on platforms such as Photoshop, InDesign, Canvas, etc
- Maintain unified brand voice across different social media channels.
- Regularly create and update the firm’s social media calendar.
- Monitor social media channels for industry trends.
- Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.
- Review analytics and create reports on key metrics.
- Keep up to date on the news and provide quick daily updates when needed.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Basic understanding of traditional financial markets and blockchain business models within various niches (DeFi, NFTs, Marketplaces, Tokenization, user attention, etc.).
- Undergraduate degree (or working towards completion), preferably in finance or business
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with meme creation
- Knowledge and competency with social media platforms with a strong emphasis on Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Mature, professional, driven, empathetic
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and issues with tact and diplomacy
- Exceptional organizational and presentation skills
- Highly skilled in learning on the job
