Rock Solid Supply is looking for an independent and enthusiastic individual to join our Human Resources team as an HR Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for the administrative duties of the HR department, assist with recruitment and onboarding, provide daily support and assist in ensuring the health and safety of all RSS employees.

**RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE**:

- Assist with recruitment functions such as posting for open positions, reviewing resumes, and conducting phone interviews
- Oversee new employee onboarding process by collecting new-hire paperwork for personnel files and updating it in our HRIS.
- Provide Payroll backup as needed.
- Respond to requests for information and assist employees
- Maintain department organization by maintaining electronic and physical filing systems and providing general support where required.
- Assist with drafting and issuing internal employee memos and communications
- Safety training administration
- ensure all annual health and safety training and certifications stay up to date
- Assist with JHSC management
- deliver votes for new members, compiling JHSC meeting minutes, compile and provide safety toolbox talks to Team Leads in each department, and maintain and track incident reports
- Prepare and amending HR documents where necessary
- Coordinate workers compensation claims to ensure reporting and documentation is timely and accurate.
- Maintain, track and log information for both internal and legal compliance.
- Assist in ad-hoc HR projects
- Support other functions as assigned

**WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL**:

- Post-secondary diploma or degree related to human resources or working towards
- Experience using an HRIS system, Dayforce experience is an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively, and work with competing priorities
- Must be able to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work independently with mínimal direct supervision
- Knowledgeable of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act and Regulations, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Human Rights Code, and the Employment Standards Act
- Knowledge of HR legislation, principles and best practices
- Previous experience with benefits administration
- 1-3 years recent and relevant experience in Human Resources
- Payroll experience (an asset)
- Manufacturing experience (an asset)
