**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
Providing administrative and reception support for the Human Resources department by:
- Provides superior customer service when performing a variety of administrative functions, including responding to internal and external queries; refers matters to appropriate members of the team.
- answering phone inquiries
- Meets new hires, collects information and processes identification badge.
- retrieving, delivering, and processing internal, electronic and other mail
- filing employee documentation and other HR paperwork.
- preparing letters confirming employment, transfer letters and letters verifying hours worked for employees
- assisting the recruitment process through collecting and filing resumes to the appropriate competition folders.
- Supporting onboarding process for new hires.
- photocopying as requested
- ensuring an appropriate level of supplies are ordered and available for the department.
- Assist with Data entry, Input initial new hire information into the HRIS payroll system.
- Participates in special projects.
- Supports recruitment process by screening applicants, setting up interviews and participating in interviews as required.
Provide administrative support with Human Resource Department projects by:
- assisting the HR Assistant on key projects
- assisting the HR team on ad hoc assignments, as required
Providing administrative support to the Manager of Human Resources, including:
- scheduling of appointments, as required
- completing tasks and projects as assigned by the Manager and HR team
**EDUCATION**
- Successful completion of a high school diploma or recognized equivalent
- Enrolled in a Human Resources Management Post-Graduate Program.
- A university degree in a field related to human resource management, such as business administration, industrial relations, commerce or psychology preferred.
**EXPERIENCE**
- Experience working in an office setting in an administrative capacity preferred.
- Familiarity with employment/labour legislation, employment standards, WSIB Act and the Human Rights Code required.
- Experience with policy development and research an asset.
