Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.
At HPS, we build products that provide mission critical infrastructure and that deliver communications and power to millions of people worldwide. In our business, failure is not an option. Therefore, we manufacture products of uncompromising integrity and it starts with our quality policy. - Metrics and Reporting**Responsibilities**:- Managing direct sales personnel & implementing strategic initiatives to drive top line & operating profit
- Developing an industry leading team through mentorship, training, direction & by setting the example.
- Ensuring the staff understands execution, strategic plans, time management & product knowledge.
- Developing strong relationships w/channel partners & ensure ongoing communication & development of the channel.
- Maintaining excellent industry knowledge specifically competitive information & market trends to manage & take advantage of opportunities for growth
- Managing the Region at a high level taking responsibility for both staff & effectiveness of Hubbell Canada in the marketplace.
- Ensuring use of the corporate CRM platform (Salesforce) to manager & document sales pipeline.
- Providing accurate sales forecast & monthly activity reports to senior management.
- Skills and Experience- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
- Minimum 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient computer skills
- Valid Driver’s license required
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions.
- Works well in group problem solving situations
- Education- Bachelors Degree in Management- Associates Degree in Business or Marketing
