Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Head of Sales, The Sales Representative will be responsible for growing participation into our soon to be launched Alternative Trading System (ATS) and work closely with the rest of the AlphaX US team and the sales teams in Canada to manage and grow existing and new relationships. This role will also be collaborating with the product team around client analytics and platform improvements.
Key Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with team on the execution of the marketing and sales strategy for our new US Broker Dealer and specifically our upcoming ATS launch.
- Promote AlphaX US to market participants and help build the engagement around the new venue.
- Leverage existing relationships as well as introductions from the team to broaden participation and cover Participants day to day.
- Assist in the creation of pitch books and other materials to be used to promote AlphaX US.
- Work with the Operations team in the Participant onboarding process.
- Work closely with the product team around participant interaction, presentation of analytics and trade ideas to participants, feedback on product enhancements, and presenting updates to participants.
- Represent AlphaX US at appropriate conferences and other client engagements which will include travel obligations.
- Engage and collaborate with sales teams across TMX to share best practices.
- Maintain and update knowledge on developments in equity trading and equity market structure within US to have meaningful dialogue with participants.
Must haves:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in relevant Equity Sales roles.
- Existing relationships are a plus.
- FINRA registrations are a plus (SIE, 7, 63).
- Excellent communication skills and experience speaking in front of clients and audiences.
- Ability to speak to participants about trade analytics and strategy.
- Proven creative and strategic problem solver with an eye to execution.
- Desire to learn and get involved with all aspects of the new trading venue.
Note: New York City (Hybrid role) 3 days in office
