U Security Services Inc is an Edmonton owned company that serves Alberta and Saskatchewan wide. We are actively hiring for experienced Security Guards for Edmonton in the Whyte Ave + Surrounding areas. This is a hands on postion.
- **Duties**_
- Patrolling rental properties and deterring theft and vandalism
- Checking rental properties for signs of forced entry, damage, trespass, fire and floods
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
- Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons
- Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property
- Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises using force if/when necessary
- **Skills**_
- The Security Guard must have excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to resolve conflicts effectively
- Strong surveillance skills to monitor premises
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and regulations to enforce company policies effectively
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Good customer service with the ability to use tact and initiative
- A safety first mindset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
