I live with quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy

I have bilateral hearing loss

I have a gastrointestinal tube

I wear external catheters

I am an AAC user

I use a power wheelchair

I use hearing aids

I weigh approximately 125 Ibs

I am looking for a preferably male support worker whom I can professionally rely on. By professionally, I mean someone who has good work-ethics with honesty and empathy.

Right now I am looking for someone for:
Sunday’s.
- Having empathy and willingness to learn a diverse range of strengths/vulnerabilities
- Being comfortable and professional with being within your employer’s private life and helping him shower, bathroom needs, and other routines
- Having a good understanding on Cerebral Palsy and muscle tones
- Having a good understanding how the human body works
- Having the understanding that my wellbeing and safety always comes as a priority
- Having an ability to read, meditate on instructions and carry them out as your duties
- Having the understanding that being detailed is critical for both helping yourself, your co-workers and to ultimately support me
- Having experiences with cooking and housekeeping with safety measures
- Being knowledgeable how to operate a variety of technologies
- Being committed to stay with me for at least six months

Extras:
I may need you to accompany me for some social outings if I so choose

Be open to helping me in pools

Have a class 5 driver license

Do shopping for me

During the training process, you'll shadow another worker for a few times, then start doing tasks on your own with their guidance until you're confident.

Training rate is 200/24HR. Regular pay is 250/24HR.

You’ll be spending overnight in your own room with a bed.

You can use my bathroom accordingly to your needs.

Our place is around public transport.

The job is regulated under the provincial employment law.

Pay: Up to $250.00 per day
