R&W Metal Fabricating and Design Inc. is a leading manufacturer of fabricated steel products.
We are looking to add a Human Resources Generalist to our team.
This position will be responsible for all day-to-day HR functions including providing a consistent support to our current and future workforce. The main focus of this position will be recruiting, maintaining and supporting our production employees.
We are a close-knit team and are looking for the right individual to bring new perspectives, ideas and dependability to the position.
- **Please note this is an on-site position and there is no work-from-home opportunity.**_
**Responsibilities**:
- Orientation for new hires which includes a review of the employee manual and health and safety awareness training
- Administration of employee training
- First point of contact for production employee relations issues
- Administration of daily attendance
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives
- Assist with ongoing monitoring of employee performance including performance reviews and disciplinary action
- Maintain knowledge of new Employment Standards and Health & Safety initiatives and help to ensure compliance throughout the facility
- Organize and maintain employee and health/safety documents
- Perform and analyze various metrics on HR and health and safety trends to support goals and initiatives
- Other duties as required
**Qualifications**:
- 3 years relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment
- Education in Human Resources an asset
- Knowledge of Employment Standards Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
