**Your Impact**
Reporting to the Manager of Facilities, the Supervisor, Municipal Facilities is responsible for leading the overall maintenance and repair of a large portfolio of buildings within the City. This includes coordinating with other facilities supervisors, developing and implementing long-term preventative maintenance plans, monitoring the life cycles of building systems and equipment, evaluating energy use levels and providing recommendations for enhanced efficiency, expediting capital projects, and managing outside consultants and contractors concerned with the repair of municipal assets.
**About the Job**
The Supervisor, Municipal Facilities is responsible for the following:
- Maintaining a working knowledge of codes, standards and regulations pertaining to facilities.
- Development of and adherence to a preventative maintenance schedule and long-term capital asset management plan based on information found within Building Condition Assessments.
- Planning and managing capital improvements and repairs of municipal assets as approved through the annual budget.
- Assistance with the preparation of the annual capital budget, working with Purchasing to tender of contracts while ensuring contracts are delivered to specifications and timelines.
- Providing guidance, leadership and supervision to the Cornwall Civic Complex Supervisor, Benson Centre Supervisor and the Facilities Staff.
- Establishing standards and procedures for the work of the other departments including benchmarks and performance standards.
**Essential Qualifications**:
- A post-secondary degree in Engineering, applied Science Technology, or equivalent of education and experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership/Project Management capacity in the facilities maintenance field
- Certified Engineering Technologist certificate or red-seal trade certification in a related area
- Familiarity with life safety and mechanical systems.
- Demonstrated strategic leadership in decision-making, issue resolution, budget management, process improvements, along with proven analytical, writing and project management skills.
- Core competencies for the position include the ability to empathetically support the people you lead, effectively delegate responsibilities instead of tasks, and a relentless communicator that ensures everyone understands the expectations and standards.

**The City of Cornwall offers a sector competitive salary, ranging from $93,726-$105,550 (2024 rates) plus a comprehensive benefits package and OMERS pension plan.**:
