Reporting to the Supervisor, Water Purification Plant, the Summer Student, Water Purification Plant position is responsible for:

- Complete various facility maintenance tasks (painting, landscaping, etc.).
- Complete various janitorial and cleaning activities.
- Assist Water Purification Plant Staff with special projects.
- To be a representative of the City of Cornwall and maintain outstanding public relations skills and professional image at all times.
- All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

- Full-time day student at a recognized secondary or post-secondary institution and be returning to full time attendance in the fall of 2025.
- Must possess the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- Must be able to perform all physical duties related to the position.
- Must have Class G2 or G Driver’s License.

Asset Qualifications:

- Prior mechanical experience or knowledge considered an asset.
- Bilingualism is considered an asset.

If selected for this role, you will need to provide:

- Satisfactory driver’s abstract
- Successful reference check (two work-related references, with a minimum of one being a direct supervisor)
- Verification of school status

All Summer Students must be Full-time day students at a recognized secondary or post-secondary institution and be returning to full time attendance in the fall of 2025.
