**TRADE ASSOCIATION ADMINISTRATOR**

The Brantford Hamilton Niagara Sheet Metal Contractors Association is not-for-profit trade Association upholding the importance of honesty, courtesy and good faith in the trade while working to support the best interests of contractors in the trade.

The Association’s office in **St. Catharines, ON** is looking for a strategic, organized, and effective T**rade Association Administrator **to join the team on a part-time basis.

**SUMMARY OF ROLE**

Reporting to the volunteer Board of Directors, the Administrator is responsible for all administration, compliance and reporting for the Brantford, Hamilton, Niagara Sheet Metal Contractors Association

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Overseeing daily operations and ensuring prompt responses for all queries to the Association.
- Responsible for accurate completion of financial activities including but not limited to: Maintaining financial records, preparing and recording all cash flow and distribution, and preparing association payroll and all government and trade remittances.
- Prepare all reporting for monthly Board meetings including but not limited to: financial statements and budgets, cash flow and distribution, labour hour remittances, contractor remittances, government remittances and credit card expenses.
- Participate in a number of Committees sanctioned by the Associations including but not limited to Joint Conference Boards and Joint Apprenticeship Committees.
- Responsible for preparing agendas, minutes and follow up to discussions.
- Responsible for scheduling and coordinating all other association board and committee/general membership meetings as required.
- Administer the apprenticeship program and maintain the database.
- Administer the training funds and oversee standards for the training programs which includes the maintenance of training certificate database.
- Manage the recovery of apprenticeship tax credits and distribute to employers according to policy.
- Develop and maintain content of Association website.
- Ensure association compliance and support of corporate policies, by-laws and government regulations.

**EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES**
- Experience completing all bookkeeping and financial statement reporting using QuickBooks is preferred.
- Experience managing and administering all aspects of a small organization/company.
- Must be bondable, have a valid driver’s license with personal and reliable transportation.
- Ability to multi-task effectively and complete tasks according to schedules and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability in maintaining thorough and accurate records.
- Adept organization skills.
- Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal).

**WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
- Must be comfortable working alone within the office.
- Travel will be required to attend meetings and events as necessary.
- Will involve sitting and driving for long periods of time.
