Optometric Assistant

We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented **Optometry Assistant** to join our growing eye care team. In this role, you will support our optometrists while also playing a key part in our **optical sales and patient experience**. From clinical pre-testing to eyewear selection, you will help ensure patients receive both exceptional care and personalized service.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare patients for eye exams and perform preliminary testing.
- Accurately update and maintain electronic medical records (EMR).
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and guiding patients throughout their visit.
- Support front desk operations: scheduling, check-in, and insurance verification.
- **Assist patients with frame styling, lens recommendations, and optical sales, ensuring they find eyewear that fits their needs and lifestyle.**:

- Educate patients on proper eye health and eyewear care.
- Create a welcoming and reassuring environment, especially for pediatric patients.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinic.

**Skills & Qualifications**
- Previous medical office, optical, or healthcare experience preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR systems.
- Strong communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- **Retail sales experience, particularly in optical or fashion, is highly valued.**:

- Knowledge of optical products and lens options is an advantage.
- Ability to multitask and work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Comfortable working with children and families.
- **Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is an asset.**
