NCH Canada is a leading manufacturer and distributor of Industrial Maintenance products. We are currently recruiting for a Controller to join our team; this position is reporting to the Controller of NCH Corporation and has overall responsibility for the Accounting group in Canada. This includes preparing journal entries and accruals, financial statement preparation/analysis, reporting and planning. This role is also responsible for management of the Corporate Credit Card, Employee Benefits & Pension plan and payroll activities of NCH Canada Inc.

Job duties will include but not limited to
- Manage an accounting department of three staff with overall responsibility for accounting, AP, cash management, fixed assets, inventory, payroll, financial reporting/analysis, planning & forecasting
- Prepare monthly financial pack and analysis and distribute to corporate office, and Sales division leaders and present financial results during Sales Management meetings
- Collaborate with Director of Operations, and VP of Sales to prepare the Annual Plan and monthly reforecasts for the Canadian divisions using Adaptive Insights software
- Manage cash transactions for Canadian bank accounts (dividends, intercompany invoices and settlement, intercompany loans, royalty payments)
- Maintain inventory costing in Oracle and standard cost updates
- Review and approve payroll and accounts payable. Maintain and ensure adherence to corporate Travel & Expense Reimbursement Policy
- Assist with annual audit and provide schedules/support as requested
- Oversee and ensure accurate processing of payroll data such as garnishments, vacation pay, insurance deductions, bonuses, and benefits
- Oversee the maintenance of employee profiles and compensation in Oracle and Bamboo HR
- Corporate credit card administrator for Canadian employees
- Oversee completion of government and regulatory reporting including T4’s, T2 Corporate Tax Return, GST/HST, Non-Resident withholding tax, provincial worker safety boards, Quebec Pay Equity, Statistics Canada surveys etc.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis as requested (eg. Sales Rep compensation, annual Tax pack, Finance and Lease schedules, Insurance renewal schedules etc.)
- Administer company Pension Plan, including monthly remittance of contributions, annual audit, and filing with regulatory board and respond to employee inquiries
- Administer Group Benefits Plan for Canadian employees, including employee disability claims with Insurance Provider, enrollment, an employee inquiries
- Stay current with payroll and accounting regulations, practices, tax laws, reporting requirements and industry trends

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 6+ years of experience and a University degree required
- CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation or equivalent required
- 2+ years managerial experience preferred
- Knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, tax laws, and reporting requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of payroll processing procedures and regulations
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Highly organized, able to manage time effectively
- High level of critical and logical thinking, and reasoning
- Able to maintain confidential information
- Fluent in French an asset
