The Advancement team at McMaster plays a critically important role in advancing the university’s strategy, in support of McMaster’s ambitious vision, in partnership with the academic and administrative leaders across the University. McMaster is launching the most ambitious fundraising campaign in our history and is building the necessary infrastructure, resources, and campaign team to support our planning. Reporting to the Senior Director, Advancement Campaign, the Advancement Officer, Campaign Operations will support the day-to-day operations of the campaign and will be key member of the Campaign team that will deliver the accountabilities in the campaign plan. **Responsibilities**: - Supports the day-to-day operations of the campaign office and the work of the Senior Director, Advancement Campaign - Develops and maintains a comprehensive campaign timeline and calendar to ensure key activities within the campaign plan are on target, including cultivation and special events, campaign steering / campaign board meetings, reports, presentations, etc. - Assists with the development, planning and execution of campaign events including on-site meetings and visits, cultivation, and travel for campaign activity, confirming participants and guests, arranging for travel, parking, catering, tour planning and follow-up. - Develops presentations on key campaign updates and works collaboratively with the University Advancement senior leaders to stay informed of all campaign updates and activity. - Works with the VP, UA and Senior Director to draft agendas and materials for campaign committee meetings. - Supports cultivation activity and arranges necessary travel arrangements and support for events, as required. - Supports the development and execution of education and training sessions for campaign staff and volunteers. - Supports the updates to key departmental and university policies related to the campaign. - Manages the campaign budget and tracks expenses related to cultivation and campaign activities. - Develops and tracks metrics to assess our success with campaign activities. - Develops and disseminates briefing materials for senior leadership related to the campaign and its activities. - Works with various internal UA teams to develop campaign reports, monitoring and tracking against campaign goals and key performance indicators. - Supports the implementation of donor stewardship plans and obligations as needed in collaboration with donor relations team - Develops strong working relationships with key contacts and stakeholders within the internal and external community for the purpose of promoting the activities of the Campaign. - Plays a key role on the advancement team and contributes to the team mission of growing the reputation, relationships, and revenue of the Institution. - Updates and maintains information in various databases including Advance, and effectively uses computer systems designed to manage information on McMaster’s advancement program. - Participates, from time to time, on a variety of project and work teams in University Advancement. **Qualifications**: - Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study. - Requires 3 years of relevant experience. - Volunteer management experience. - Project management experience. - Event planning experience and superior communication and interpersonal skills are required to plan, coordinate, and oversee events. - Superior organizational skills - Superior interpersonal and communication skills (e.g. written and public speaking) - Superior attention to detail is required to create and produce printed materials, both conventional and electronic, to be distributed to stakeholders. - Excellent computer skills and experience with databases (ADVANCE an asset) - Excellent customer-service skills and strong service orientation - Excellent time-management and multi-tasking abilities - Knowledgeable about McMaster University policies and guidelines; and University Advancement policies and procedures **How To Apply** **Employment Equity St
