**Job Summary**:
With thoughtful coordination and collaboration, this role will primarily provide support to the Development Manager, Student Affairs.
As a key member of the Development team in Student Affairs, your specific area of focus may include interactions with donors, alumni, students, community members, faculty, staff, and University senior administration.
The Advancement Intern will work closely with the Development Manager in supporting areas of Student Affairs, including Indigenous Student Services, Student Success Centre, Housing and Conferencing Services, Black Student Success Centre, Student Accessibility Services, Athletics and Recreation, Student Mental Health.
**Accountabilities**:
- Play a key role in the planning and delivery of all advancement, and development and stewardship related activities across all of the divisions of Student Affairs and in collaboration with University Advancement.
- Provide support to Manager, Development and facilitate the efficient and effective operation of related activities.
- Support additional development and stewardship activities focused on support students and student awards
- Prepare for meetings for the leader including but not limited to: collecting and compiling background information, organizing accommodations and travel arrangements, preparing or editing presentations, strategic communications, and executing all follow-up items.
- Ensure an efficient flow of information and administrative support for the area with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain a variety of database records, files, and correspondence.
- Perform research, analysis, and compilation of data related to potential prospects to the University
- Provide written support for templates, proposals, donor communications, etc.
**Qualifications**:
- University degree in a relevant field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior organization skills and attention to detail, with an ability to work independently and within a team.
- Self directed and motivated with ability the manage priorities in a fast-paced environment and ensure deliverables are met in a timely and professional manner.
