**POSITION TITLE**:CONCRETE FINISHER

**REPORTS TO**:Shotcrete Crew Lead Cement Finisher and Foreman

**JOB OVERVIEW**

The Cement Finisher will smooth and finish concrete /shotcrete mixes, filling hollows and removing high spots to reach the desired finish quality.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Trimming and scraping the shotcrete, bringing it to line and grade prior to final finishing
- Darbying the wall with proper tools and filling in all low spots
- Troweling shotcrete to required finish
- Checking formwork and steel reinforcement, and directing placement of shotcrete onto surfaces according to grade
- Cutting level tops of walls
- Operating the vibrator and other tools to compact and spread concrete into various forms
- Reaching desired finish of shotcrete using hand and power tools
- Installing anchor bolts, steel plates, and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete
- Using polishing or surfacing machines to polish the surface
- Maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies
- Providing support to the Shotcrete Crew as required
- Other duties as assigned

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- 1-year experience in Concrete Finishing (preferred)
- Experience in concrete and /or construction
- Valid G Class Driver’s License (preferred)
- Able to lift, carry, or shovel objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work long hours outside in all weather conditions, including seasonally hot or cold temperatures and inclement weather
- Active listening and respectful attitude
- Must be hardworking, punctual, and reliable
- Able to follow instructions
- Able to work individually as well as part of a team

Able to perform physical labour requiring continual and repetitive use of large motor skills to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, crawl, crouch, shovel, push, pull, twist, turn, stretch, and reach

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $34.95-$44.73 per hour
