Tor-Cam is a construction company within Mid/high-rise development sector with sites around the GTA and Downtown Toronto. We provide trade services for our clients including Concrete Finishing, Traffic Controllers, Hoist Operators, labourers, and Machine Operators.
Job Requirements and Skills:
- Has 3 years or more of experience in concrete finishing
- Has the ability to perform physical labour requiring repetitive tasks such as: bend, squat, crouch, push, pull, twist, turn, stretch, kneel, and climb stairs consistently throughout the day.
- Ensures safety is top priority and adheres and follow site rules and regulations
- Follows instructions from foreman or supervisor and carries out on site tasks efficiently, timely and to standards.
- Flexible to work long hours and weekends
- Preferably have WHMIS, 4 Step Safety Awareness and Working at Heights but training can be provided.
Job Duties:
- Prep surface and clear area within the immediate vicinity of formwork
- Inspect surfaces for potential pouring issues
- Setting forms and aligning them to hold concrete to the instructed pitch and depth as specified by site drawings and industry standards
- Pour, spread and level concrete using rakes, shovels, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed
- Smooth top surface of freshly poured concrete surface according to grade and depth specifications
- Fill hollows and remove high spots to smooth freshly poured concrete
- Operate power vibrator to compact concrete
- Concrete cutting and coring
- Repair surfaces that have been deemed deficient, worn or damaged
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
**Salary**: $38.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
