Novotel Toronto North York is looking for someone to bring their vibrance and energy to the role As a Sales and Catering Coordinator, you’ll assist with food and beverage/ Events operations to ensure superior service and standards whilst delivering a memorable guest experience. You’ll work with a team that promotes a positive and efficient team culture. You’ll ensure compliance with all health, safety, or other requirements.

**JOB SUMMARY**:
Under the supervision of the Director of Sales, the Sales and Catering Coordinator will provide customer service, guest satisfaction, and a quality work environment.

- The flexibility to work various shifts on a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Ideally you will have experience in a Restaurant or Hotel environment, minimum of 1 year.
- You must also meet the legal requirements to work in this country.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Play a lead role to secure group guestroom blocks and meeting space commitments from Corporate, sporting, education, family social and fraternal organizations through a variety of different sales techniques that include fast and effective response to incoming inquires
- Conduct property site inspections and providing quotations through electronic lead generation channels
- Take the lead in communication Group guest expectations to all operating departments and onsite restaurant through preparation of Group Resumes, Banquet Event order and weekly menu/operations meeting
- Make a significant contribution to the achievement of budgeted guest room revenue by committing the hotels product and services within agreed pricing and service parameters
- Be at the top of your game and bring polished professionalism to work every day, as evidences by maintaining a highly organized office with up to date records covering client communication, commitments and result tracking
- Inspect to ensure stock is adequate before beginning operation.
- Full knowledge of served items and methods of preparation as needed.
- Works within policy to accommodate guest's special requests.
- To consistently exceed guest expectations.
- To ensure surrounding staff are working safely.
- Attributes such as being polite, courteous, and working effectively in a team environment are a must.
- Be familiar with hotel services offered
- Other duties may be assigned by management

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a hotel role
- Carries ‘Food Safety Handling’ card is a plus
- Complete Health and Safety in four steps is a plus
- Ability to follow instructions and be detail-oriented
- Professional and friendly with all guests. Ability to achieve guest satisfaction
- Prior experience in Hospitality is an asset
