Anmar Mechanical and Electrical Contractors Ltd. is currently seeking a **Structural Steel and Platework Estimator **to join our team

**Qualifications**
- Minimum (5) years experience estimating in an fabrication environment.
- Diploma in Mechanical or Structural Engineering considered a strong asset.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Scheduling, and Microsoft Project.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Prepare and/or coordinate the preparation of full cost estimates on conceptual, design-build or general tender work.
- Ability to complete Budgeting and Scheduling for projects. Monitor progress, requisition change orders and identify any potential risks.
- Ability to confer with Engineers, Designers, Owners, Contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
- Ability to prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of projects.
- Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops
- Ability to formulate cost break down from estimates and for project progress
- Experience in a QA/QC role considered a strong asset.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Positive attitude and strong desire to work
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to adapt to new and unfamiliar situations
- Experience preparing, schedules, specifications and reports
- Strong communication skills and leadership
