Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Structural Engineer, based in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area. The Senior Structural Engineer will lead the design, analysis, and evaluation of structural steel projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. They will collaborate with internal teams including detailing, fabrication, and installation, as well as liaise with external clients, contractors, and consultants. Duties include project management, conducting structural assessments, preparing design documentation, providing technical guidance to teams, and solving engineering challenges to achieve successful project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of structural design principles, load calculations, and material properties
  • Experience with structural analysis software and tools such as ETABS, SAP2000, or similar applications
  • Proficiency in CAD software for drafting and structural detailing
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Effective communication and ability to collaborate with diverse teams, clients, and stakeholders
  • Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration in British Columbia
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Experience in the design and implementation of large-scale commercial or institutional steel structures is an asset
