StumpCraft designs and produces artisanal wooden jigsaw puzzles featuring the works of Canadian fine artists. Every puzzle invites puzzlers to care for the pieces and focus on the whole, connecting art, nature, and play. We're a passionate, creative team based in Calgary, and we’re excited to welcome a digitally curious and marketing-savvy summer student ready to jump into the behind-the-scenes world of a growing creative business.

**Position Summary**:
We’re looking for a **Marketing & Web Assistant** to support our digital marketing and eCommerce efforts over the summer, while also gaining exposure to operations and retail. This is an ideal opportunity for a student interested in marketing, web content, and brand development—especially within a creative small business context. Saturday availability is required for in-person retail support at our workshop.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Marketing & Web Support**
- Assist in developing newsletters, blog posts, and digital campaigns
- Help maintain and update website content and collections (Shopify)
- Contribute to the creation of marketing assets (e.g., graphics, banners, product photography, descriptions)
- Support community growth through influencer research, social engagement, and outreach
- Track and report on marketing and web analytics
- Assist with light website updates or development tasks (coding skills are required)

**Retail & Operations Support**
- Provide retail support during open shop hours (primarily Saturdays)
- Assist with puzzle production tasks such as depuzzling, sorting, packaging, and quality control
- Help maintain organized retail, production, and inventory spaces
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects and process improvement initiatives

**Qualifications**:

- Current student enrolled in Marketing, Communications, Business, Arts, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable using social media and digital design tools (e.g., Canva)
- Familiarity with Shopify, Klaviyo, or basic HTML/CSS
- Interest or experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, or content creation
- Creative, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Reliable, organized, and eager to work collaboratively
- Passion for puzzles, art, craftsmanship, or small business growth is a strong asset
- Comfortable working with your hands in a light production environment

**Position Details**:

- Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Weekend availability required (specifically Saturdays)
- 12-16 week contract (May-August; flexible start/end dates)
- Compensation: $18-$20/hour, based on experience
- Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for the **Canada Summer Jobs program** (aged 15-30, legally entitled to work in Canada)
