Cantina Norte in Edgemont Village is hiring We are looking for positive, energetic and active hospitality professionals to join our experienced team as Line/Prep Cooks. If you like funky latin music, spicy food and good tips - Cantina Norte is the place for you.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for timely, proper, and efficient preparation of all food items according to the correct recipe and presentation specifications;
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies;
- Monitor kitchen inventory and work with Sous Chefs and Chef de Cuisine on stock levels;
- Ensure proper use and handling of raw materials in a continuous effort to keep wastage to a minimum and maintain sanitisation standards;
- Demonstrate strong time management skills;
- Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment and galley area;
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior team.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of (6) months - (2) years cooking experience in a high-volume restaurant environment or equivalent;
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume restaurant environment or equivalent;
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills;
- Valid BC Food Safe Certification
