The Colour Market is a bright, joyful, modern retail shop specializing in colour-forward gifts, stationery, décor, kids’ items, and lifestyle goods. We’re looking for a dynamic Sales Associate & Social Media Coordinator to join our small but mighty team.

This role is perfect for someone who loves retail, loves people, and loves creating authentic brand moments on social media. You’ll be the face of our store - greeting customers, helping them shop, merchandising our displays - while also capturing content, posting updates, and driving engagement online.

**What You’ll Do In-Store Sales & Customer Experience**
- Provide warm, enthusiastic customer service
- engagement is your #1 priority
- Assist customers with product selection, gift ideas, and questions
- Actively initiate conversations and create a welcoming experience
- Maintain strong product knowledge and help drive sales through storytelling

**Retail Operations & Key Holder Duties**
- Open and close the store independently (key holder responsibilities)
- Operate POS system, handle cash, and complete end-of-day procedures
- Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing
- Assist with merchandising, displays, and seasonal changeovers
- Support inventory tasks: receiving, tagging, stock counts, restocking
- Price labeling, product placement, and general store maintenance

**Social Media & Content Creation**
- Capture daily in-store content (photos/videos) for Instagram & TikTok
- Film quick product features, unboxings, “what’s new,” and store walk-throughs
- Create and post stories, reels, and engaging visual content
- Respond to comments and DMs - maintain a friendly brand voice
- Support social media planning and posting schedule
- Contribute ideas for fun, engaging moments that highlight the brand
- Familiarity with e-commerce and WordPress is an asset
- Experience in social content creation is preferred

**What We’re Looking For**

**Personality & Skills**
- Extremely outgoing, friendly, and confident talking to customers
- Naturally social - you enjoy being on camera and capturing content
- Strong communication skills
- Creative eye for colours, visuals, and aesthetics
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently
- Comfortable multitasking between retail and digital duties

**Experience -**_*Wage based on experience*_
- Retail sales experience is an asset
- Social media content creation experience is an asset
- Merchandising or visual display experience is an asset
- Familiarity with e-commerce or WordPress is an asset
- Key holder or supervisory experience is a strong asset

**Availability**
- Weekdays, weekends, and holiday availability needed
- Part-time or full-time options available

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 32 per week
