**ESL INSTRUCTOR**

**English as a Second Language Instructor (ESL)** to join the Learning & Development Team as a part of
**English Language Lab (ELL) Program**.
**(Shift 3.00 pm - 11.00 pm Monday - Thursday / Friday - flexible)**

The ELL Instructor reports directly to the ELL Program Leader and supports the design, development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the ELL programs to enhance the capabilities of all Team Members in manufacturing and/or Corporate Office at FGF.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Delivers English language instruction to FGF Team Members (TMs) given the ELL program curriculum, and in accordance with Canadian Language Benchmarks; performs duties closely associated with Portfolio Based Language Assessment (PBLA).
- Develops appropriate teaching methodologies, materials, and activities based on the lesson plans, experiences, social contexts, and life goals of the Team Members.
- Collaborates with the ELL Team to ensure Team Members’ success and integration in programming.
- Starts classes on time and adheres to the scheduled breaks and dismissal time.
- Oversees program intake and exit assessments.
- Evaluates progress of learners and offers Action-Oriented feedback on an on-going basis.
- Monitors and maintains TMs’ attendance daily, follows up with the ELL Program Leader with attendance concerns.
- Reviews weekly lessons with the ELL Team, submits final versions of lessons, weekly summaries and reflections, and program reports in a timely fashion.
- Continuously pursues and shares opportunities for professional development and growth
- Maintains program resources (e.g., computers, instructional materials, books, etc.) and ensures they are in good condition.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s Degree(s) in Teaching, Adult (or related field is an asset).
- Diploma in Teaching English as a Second Language (OCELT), TESL Ontario and/or TESL Canada Professional Certification or equivalent
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in teaching English as a Second Language and implementing PBLA.
- Ability to implement a Communicative Language Teaching approach effectively and enthusiastically.
- Fully trained in Portfolio Based Language Assessment (PBLA) an asset.
- Experience in teaching multi-levels in a multicultural environment.
- Experience using technology and delivering online classes and hybrid models effectively.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
