The Toronto District School Board’s Non-Credit Adult ESL and LINC Programs are looking for qualified, experienced Supply instructors to teach at locations throughout the city. Opportunities include full and part-time days, part-time evenings and Saturdays. We offer highly competitive rates ($45.50 per hour). **Duties & Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Adult ESL/LINC Program Officer, the supply instructor will be responsible for providing goal-directed, outcome-based and learner centered English language instruction, aligned with the Portfolio Based Language Assessment (PBLA) approach.
- Instruct class according to a daily lesson plan using appropriate and relevant resources and methods of delivery, in accordance with Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) and principles of adult learning
- Report on attendance as required
- Provide a safe, nurturing bias-free, positive and respectful learning environment that recognizes individual differences
- Must have TESL Ontario certification
- Post-secondary degree from an accredited institution with one year related experience teaching ESL or equivalent
- Thorough understanding of the Canadian Language Benchmarks
- Knowledge of PBLA is an asset
- Computer skills and familiarity with related program software (e.g. MS Office, Zoom, Tutela, Academic Workspace)
- Excellent command of oral and written English
- Strong interpersonal skills

- Weekend availability

- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:
