Westrans is a leading remanufacturer and supplier of parts for commercial trucks, light duty vehicles, agricultural equipment, and heavy duty industrial equipment. Westrans is looking to hire a well-rounded Payroll Administrator to join our Accounting team who will process payroll and assist with accounting and office admin duties.

**Responsibilities**:

- Process bi-weekly payroll
- Review and verify accuracy of employee timesheets
- Maintain and file confidential records
- Prepare various reports related to payroll activities
- Provide support to employees regarding payroll inquiries
- Ensure Sin numbers and work permits are accurate and up to date
- Prepare employee terminations and issue ROE’s
- Maintain accurate vacation accruals
- Complete year end, process T4’s and annual filings
- Monthly balancing of payroll related general ledger accounts
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations
- Assist with accounting tasks
- Reception coverage which includes answering and directing calls, completing the daily deposit with balancing cash and credit transactions

**Requirements**:

- Payroll admin / Accounting experience an asset
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentially
- Knowledge of MS Office programs and ability to learn in house accounting program
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and management at all levels of the organization
