The Regulatory Compliance Coordinator is a hybrid position which reports directly to our Director, Food Safety & Quality Assurance. The primary responsibilities of this role include a blend of Regulatory Compliance responsibilities as well as front-line Quality Assurance support when called upon. This role will provide important contributions to our organizations success by maintaining collaborative working relationships with other departments, partnering to meet and maintain the highest product quality, and ensuring compliance to Canadian and international regulations as well as to company and customer product specifications requirements.
- *From time to time this role may be required to work at our No. 6 Road location and /or evenings and weekends._

**Summ Responsibilities**:
- Regulatory Compliance_
- Act as the backup point of contact/liaison for CFIA matters requiring immediate corrective action
- Support with international export documentation
- Managing micro testing requirements, upkeeping micro data and trending to provide QA & Food Safety recommendations to Management
- Participate in projects supporting new or modified products, new equipment installations, and quality improvements
- Assist in implementation of SQF policies; ensure completion of internal audits to comply with GFSI Certification and prepare & participate in audits required by others such as customers, Costco, Loblaws, etc.
- Provide support to Internal Audits and mock recalls; ensure that the facility complies with Regulatory and Quality requirements (CFIA, SFCR, FSMA, GFSI specifications, etc.)
- Quality Assurance (as required basis)_
- Conduct internal pre and post op inspections and provide relief floor coverage when needed
- Perform critical control point checks and quality checks on process as outlined in the HACCP and Quality Program requirements.
- Support implementation of SQF policies, HACCP, and prerequisite programs.
- Assist; provide instructions and training to the production / sanitation staffs, related to Food Safety / Quality activities
- Ensure food safety practices and all applicable requirements of the SQF System are adopted and maintained. Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF System
**Summ Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Food Science (or related) is preferred, or a minimum of 3 years working experience as a Quality Assurance Technologist in a CFIA manufacturing environment.
- Intermediate computer skills in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and locations with mínimal supervision as required,
- Must be able to effectively communicate (verbal and written English).
- Additional languages are an asset.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
