The role reports to the Administrator and has the following accountabilities: - Participates as a member of the Pioneer Ridge Management Team by providing input into Division organizational and operational reviews, budget issues, technical matters, and major issues management. Also participates by providing input into the identification and development of Divisional policies, strategic initiatives, projects, and priorities. - Plans, manages, and controls food preparation systems for Pioneer Ridge and for outreach programs; arranges necessary changes in the facilities; ensures necessary supplies and equipment, maintains budgetary control, oversees Quality Assurance and documents activities. - Responsible for ensuring that resident nutritional needs are met and for the documenting/charting of same. - Degree in nutrition sciences or a related discipline along with three years’ experience in food production in a health care setting; or - Diploma in food service and nutrition management or a related discipline along with five years’ experience in food production in a health care setting - Experience in a management capacity in a large, unionized government or private sector organization. - Experience in business management, planning, budgets, and finance. - Demonstrated knowledge of the various components of human resource management. - Knowledge of and ability to interpret applicable municipal by-law, provincial legislation, and related regulations. - An understanding of the nutritional and eating needs of the frail For a full detailed job description, please click here **Why Pioneer Ridge?** Comprised of 200+ staff, who are highly skilled and trained, Pioneer Ridge provides 150 Long Term Care beds and is a place for residents to live well.
