**Job Description for RG Appliance Services**

**Position**: Appliance Service Technician
**Location**: Toronto, Scarborough, and Durham Region
**Employment Type**: Full-Time/Part-Time

RG Appliance Services is a trusted and authorized service provider for Whirlpool appliances, specializing in high-quality repairs and maintenance. With a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, we work directly with Whirlpool to ensure that customers receive reliable and timely support for their appliance needs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Diagnose and repair Whirlpool appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, dishwashers, and microwaves.
- Perform warranty verifications and repairs in accordance with Whirlpool's guidelines.
- Provide outstanding customer service, explaining diagnoses, repair processes, and associated costs clearly and professionally.
- Handle COD (Cash on Delivery) service calls following company policies and Whirlpool service standards.
- Submit detailed and accurate service reports, including parts used and work completed, to both RG Appliance Services and Whirlpool on the Servicebench app.
- Stay current on Whirlpool appliance models, troubleshooting techniques, and industry standards through training and technical updates.
- Ensure compliance with Whirlpool’s policies, including warranty claims and repair documentation.
- Maintain and manage tools, parts, and equipment effectively to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Willing to work in regions such downtown toronto, East York, North York, Scarborough, and the Durham Region

**Qualifications**:

- Prior experience in appliance repair, particularly with Whirlpool products, is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Technical certification or equivalent training in appliance repair is preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with a reliable vehicle.
- Proof of liability insurance (must be submitted before employment begins).
- Clear Police Vulnerable sectors check
- Being a gas appliance technician is a plus
- A refrigeration system technician is also a plus
