Spar Marine Limited, an industry leader in marine electrical services, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of **motor technician**. Based in Dartmouth, NS we provide complete electrical services, including but not limited to motor and pump assessment and repair, to our clients. As an emergency service provider, we operate 24/7 365 days a year, to meet our clients need. We strive to provide our customers with the highest quality marine electrical work and are ISO 9001- 2015 certified.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 3+ Years experience working in the motor or electrical industry
- Experience performing vibration analysis and creating reports
- Experience performing fan balancing and creating reports
- Mechanical trade certificates is preferred
- Knowledge of 3 phase and single phase induction motors is preferred
- Ability to perform minor and major mechanical repairs and assessments on various system components
- Experience troubleshooting
- Experience in pump repair and the ability to change various components including seals
- Experience performing bearing replacements and the ability to measure bearing fits is an asset
- Expedience using all machining tooling is an asset
- Experience winding various size motors is an asset
- Ability to travel and work various hours is an asset
- The ability to work as part of a team, and coordinate with others to execute required tasks
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision is sometimes required
- Punctual, reliable, and respectful to clients and staff
- Must be able to adapt to changing work tasks & environment
- Must be able to pass required security clearances such as Controlled Goods Clearance, Criminal Background Check, and Reliability/ Secret Security Clearances
- Must be able to legally work in Canada

**Salary**: $32.00-$40.00 per hour
