**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
Payroll:

- Record payroll transaction using Workday payroll system
- Collaborate with HR to ensure payroll is processed accurately biweekly. This includes but limited to reviewing timecards, making all payroll adjustments, processing final settlements, leave adjustments, processing ROE for employees
- Perform Special/on demand payroll as per required
- Submit all RRSP & TFSA reports to benefit provider after each payroll cycle
- Manage all employees in the benefit program (enrollment/changes/terminations etc.)
- Update payroll account mappings to ensure that all employees payroll/benefits are charged to the correct GL code
- Post all payroll and bonus accruals for Canada and Ohio
- Prepare monthly payroll analysis report to explain payroll variances
- Work with payroll vendor for T4 balancing and dispatching T4 to all employees before due date
- File annual returns CNESST, WSIB, EHT with relevant authorities
- Communicate with CRA on all payroll remittances issues/queries including employees ROE’s
- Complete RL-1 & Quebec tax forms

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in payroll
- 1-2 years of sound accounting knowledge and practical experience
- Previous payroll experience is essential preferably with Workday
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Excellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office (Excel/Word) and ERP (ie. JDE/SAP/Oracle)
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills to organize evaluate and report data.
