As our business continue to grow, our finance department is looking to add a Payroll Clerk to its team.
**Key Accountabilities**:
Working as part of the Finance team for multiple divisions and under general direction of the Human Resources, Payroll & Benefits Manager, the Payroll Clerk is responsible for supporting the accurate and timely reporting of payroll and related reports.
- Manage daily processing and weekly reporting of employee timesheets.
- Check payroll database for accuracy and update data with salary adjustments, as needed.
- Coordinate with HR about changes in payroll (e.g. new hires)
- Produce reports to upper management upon request.
- Answer employee inquiries or complaints and investigate payment discrepancies.
- Responsible for onboarding agency staff
- Implement employee relations policies and procedures.
- Manage MHE Operator’s list and handle key issuance.
- Comply with responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Think Logistics’ Health and Safety Policies
- Comply with the requirements for Canadian Good Manufacturing Practices, as applicable to the role.
- Perform other duties as assigned
**Education and Qualification Requirements**:
- Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
- Critical thinker with the willingness to learn and develop
- Resourceful and independent, with a “can do” attitude and approach
- Ability to maintain at all times a high degree of confidentiality and discretion
**Compensation**:
Competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience.
