**CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE / CASHIER**

**CASHIER AND CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE**

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
The Cashier and CSR position is responsible for exceeding our customer’s evolving expectations and for providing a pleasant and fulfilling shopping experience and for;
**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Successful completion of all financial transactions with the customers.
- Maintaining the balance of the cash drawer at all times; opening/closing of cash/balancing receipts at the end of the day.
- Executing all standard electronic cash register transactions proficiently and accurately according to operational procedures
- Taking phone calls, phone orders, working with customers to ensure products are received and ordered properly.
- Greeting customers and establishing a positive rapport.
- Collaboratively working as a member of the sales team to meet/exceed daily sales goals.
- Contributing positively to building and maintaining a friendly professional service orientated store/work environment.
- Stock shelves, racks, hooks and bins and price products.
- Assisting in return of merchandise.
- Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Ensuring all loss prevention systems and procedures are performed while keeping the area clean and safe for customers and employees.
- Continuously expanding product knowledge and staying in tune with industry trends re: product, service, sales etc.
- Memorize product locations throughout the store and be able to direct customers or make suggestions.
- Train and supervise new cashiers or retail workers.
- Perform various duties throughout the store as required.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- High School Diploma with a minimum of 1-year previous cash sales experience or equivalent education work experience is desired
- Ability to engage customers to develop professional relationships with our clients
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Must be able to speak clearly
- Detail oriented and highly observant.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Windows and Outlook and some mathematical aptitude.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment to adapt to change and demonstrate flexibility.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and process multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to stay positive in high stress situations.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good problem solving skills.
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Reliability, dependability and punctuality in the execution of duties and responsibilities.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 20 lbs of merchandise to stock shelves.
- Knowledge of power/precision tools or machinery is considered an asset.
- Fluency in other languages is welcomed to service our diverse client base.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
