Spa Attendant

**Job Summary**:
**The Spa Attendant is responsible for orienting guests to the spa facilities, greeting guests, providing personal guest service, and performing all cleaning duties. They are responsible for keeping the treatment rooms, and other guest areas neat, clean and stocked with all amenities and supplies. They must be client focused, organized and attentive to detail.**

Position hours (May change)

Tuesdays: 10am-8pm

Wednesdays
- Fridays: 4pm - 8pm

Saturdays: 10am - 6pm

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- **Be on time for shifts and maintain a consistent, regular attendance record.**
- **Issue slippers to guests, and escort guests to their treatment rooms.**
- **Provide orientation tours, explaining spa amenities offered and answering guests’ questions.**
- **Offer guests amenities such as water, tea, or heated hand towels.**
- **Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized spa environment through consistent monitoring of the entire area.**
- **Stock treatment room supplies, amenities, towels, and maintain accurate supply lists and inventory sheets.**
- **Collect, change, fold and put away laundry as needed, do daily laundry as per schedule**
- **Ensures adequate stock of supplies and equipment; inform management when stock is low.**
- **Review guest appointments/schedules as needed.**
- **Utilize spa computers with skill and proficiency; document guest information in electronic record as directed.**
- **Clean and make up all treatment rooms according to the standards required by GLOW Beauty Bar & Health Canada**
- **Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as programs, memberships and/or discounts available.**
- **Assist the aestheticians with room turnover and sanitization**
- **Maintain eye contact when addressing guests; develop professional and personalized relationships with regular guests.**
- **Maintain complete confidentiality in all guest matters in accordance with company policy**
- **Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.**
- **Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.**
- **Develop ability to work without constant direct supervision and remain at assigned post for extended periods of time.**
- **Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.**
- **Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa.**
- **Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.**
- **Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.**
- **Perform regular deep cleaning, daily cleaning and sanitizing, opening and closing procedures, and other daily and scheduled cleaning tasks**
- **Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager; complete safety training and certifications.**
- **Follow all company policies and procedures**
- **Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional**

**Education and Experience Requirements**:

- **Minimum of 1 year of previous cleaning experience**
- **Previous spa experience is preferred but not required**

**Certificates, Licenses, Registrations**:

- **CPR Certification a plus, but not required**

**Language Skills**:

- **Be able to understand and communicate in the English language**
- **Ability to read MSDS labels for safe handling**
