**Job summary**:
Reporting to the Supervisor of operations, the Site Supervisor will provide onsite support to our project managers and ensure all phases and processes of project installation are followed.
You will also provide onsite installation and third-party supervision for all projects assigned to them as a Lead Technician.
They will be mandated to plan and direct all projects ensuring exemplary security, optimal productivity, and improved procedures while ensuring customer satisfaction according to company standards.
**Your day will look like this**:
- **As a Supervisor you will be asked to**:_
- Project Preparation:
- PM will request to attend kick-off meetings (if needed)
- Perform a site visit (if needed)
- Project Execution (Installation):
- For projects requiring a site presence:
- Attend equipment inventory at initiation
- Make sure missing equipment / cables / parts are delivered
- Make sure thirds have clear and complete SoW and drawings
- Make sure sign-off sheet is filled as work is progressing (especially serial numbers list)
- Ensure quality control
- For small projects not requiring a site presence:
- Call the thirds to get updates
- For all projects:
- Make RMAs for defective equipment as needed (until past 60 days of project closure)
- Help resolving issues
- Report on project progress to Project Manager / Coordinator
- Report on issues and help solving them
- Project Closure:
- For projects requiring a site presence:
- Ensure all defects are repaired
- Help programmer if needed
- Attend the commissioning with the Client
- Make sure to have all the project form sheets filled-in
- Ensure client sign-off
- Follow-up on post sign-off defects reparation / issues resolution
- Report on project closure to Project Manager / Coordinator
- Overall projects management:
- Participate to weekly (or point in time) project coordination meetings
- **As a Lead Technician you will be asked to**:_
- Project preparation:
- Conduct effective operational meetings and perform pre-install site visits
- Project execution:
- Tend to equipment inventory according to business needs
- Perform on-site installation in compliance with policies on health and safety at work
- Perform tests and validations according to standards, plans and specifications
- Help resolve technical problems and report them if needed
- Report on project progress to Project Manager/Coordinator
- Overall project management / Project closure:
- Act as a resource person on site according to project scope and guidelines
- Address on-site change requests with the project manager for confirmation and final direction
- Provide technical assistance to colleagues as needed (installation technicians, representatives, and project managers) in the operation of our products
**Your profile**:
- College degree or degree from recognized Canadian training facility a bonus
- Audiovisual systems installation experience is required
- 2 to 5 years of pertinent experience
- Strong knowledge of corporate audio/video deployments; LED displays, projectors, DSP’s, switches and many other A/V products
- Strong knowledge of video conferencing a plus. (Cisco, Tandberg, Polycom)
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project)
- General knowledge in networking (IP, Protocol, TCP / IP, H.323, Linux)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong customer service approach
- Knowledge of all aspects of IT systems implementation, configuration and documentation, including updates, backups, security procedures, the use of policies, training and technical support is a bonus
- Knowledge/familiarity with value added services such as video managed services a bonus
