In business since 1960, Kennebec Construction Services (KCS) is an open shop, multi-trade, specialty contractor serving Atlantic Canada. Our three main operating divisions include: Construction Management, Electrical Contracting and Communication Cabling.
**Job Summary**
**Responsibilities**
- Receive and accurately record inventory items (verify and scan packing slips, confirm quantities, data input, update spreadsheets, etc.)
- Manage inventory control of materials and communicate inventory discrepancies with project team and follow up with suppliers / contractors as needed
- Proper and safe handling of various equipment such as a forklift, telehandler, and overhead crane
- Ensure Material Request Forms (MRFs) are properly received, assigned a reference number with necessary document control
- Prepare orders for pick up, document shipment details and update inventory and sign out sheet as required
- Organize order transportation on occasion, based on client/project requirements
- Develop and implement ideas for continuous improvement
- Additional duties assigned
**Technical Requirements**
- Minimum of high school education is required
- Experience/familiarity with warehouse operations would be considered an asset
- Knowledge and experience with material handling would be considered an asset
**Business Requirements**
- Must have good computer literacy including programs such as Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational & time management skills
**Cultural Requirements**
- Effective communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Strong customer service skills both internally and externally
