**Position Description**:

This position provides support to the overall administration and operational needs of the security services department.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Completion of post-secondary certificate/diploma in Office Administration required
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a busy office setting with excellent customer service skills
- Intermediate typing speed
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft platform, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Power Point
- Demonstrated commitment to the values of Service, Responsible Stewardship, Community Responsiveness and Respect
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and tactfully, both in person and by telephone with excellent customer service orientation
- Ability to multitask, work independently and complete tasks accurately
- Day to day payroll and scheduling issues, payroll errors, ordering supplies and handling calls for security (i.e locked doors, theft) independently
- Ensures departmental issues, equipment malfunction, verifying account numbers are handled in consultation with the manager

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintains confidentiality and release of information in accordance with hospital policy at all times.
- Obligation to review and commit to applicable departmental and hospital policies and procedures at all times.
- Handles all related issues to ensure departmental payroll details are processed properly, updates the security schedules/call in sheets, and arranges for staff replacements/additional Security coverage.
- Collates and files security occurrence reports and daily logs in preparation for statistical reporting and monthly Occupational Health and Safety Committee meetings.
- Issues Photo ID for staff, visitors, contractors when needed.
- Cross references, reviews and processes invoices well as preparing/completing purchase orders and requisition for both accounts payable and receivable.
- Drafts presentations, proposals and executive summaries with little supervision as required.
- Develops and maintains a well-organized filing system which permits easy access and rapid retrieval.
- Ensures all supplies and forms required by the department are properly maintained/replenished as needed.

**HOURLY RATE**
$26.37... $27.51... $28.63 (plus 14% in lieu of benefits)
