Delilah is a fashion accessory store that has been serving its female Montreal customer base for many years. We are proud to offer a wide range of products for all tastes. We are currently looking for an **ASSISTANT MANAGER** to assist the manager in the daily activities of our store located at **PLACE ALEXIS-NIHON**.

**Job Summary**

The assistant manager's role is to support the manager on site. Their tasks fall into 2 categories, the daily tasks necessary for the smooth operation of the store, and tasks related to human resources. Here are the main tasks for each:
**Daily tasks**:

- Greet customers and advise them on their purchases in a professional and courteous manner, while offering complementary products
- Operate a cash register and balance at closing
- Manage returns, exchanges, and refunds as per the return policy
- Ensure the store's appearance and security
- Monitor shoplifting in the store

**Human resources tasks**:

- Encourage and motivate the staff by setting an example to ensure that the store achieves its sales goals each month
- Assign tasks to be completed and supervise the work of staff under your supervision
- Assist the manager in evaluating the effectiveness of employees, their performance, productivity, and overall performance
- Supervise the store's operations and ensure that the store is open each day according to the schedule and with the necessary staff to meet customer needs
- Assist the manager in hiring and establishing a strong and diverse team

**Skill requirements**:

- Experience in retail and management;
- experience at the cash registers;
- excellent communication skills in both official languages;
- excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
- excellent team-working skills;
- proven customer service experience; positive, dynamic, and professional attitude; good stress management;
- basic computer knowledge
