BIS Safety Software_** is a fast-paced, high-growth organization providing leading software for the safety industry. We are looking for a **Technical Writer (Summer Student)** to join our team for the summer term. This role is perfect for a student who is passionate about user experience and technical communication.

This is an **in-person** role based out of our Sherwood Park, AB office.

**In this role, you will be expected to**:

- Develop step-by-step user guides, FAQs, and instructional documents to help users effectively utilize our software.
- Write and edit copy for user interfaces (UI) to ensure clarity, consistency, and user-friendliness.
- Produce tutorial videos and visual guides that simplify complex concepts for users.
- Collaborate with graphic designers, software developers, and other team members to ensure documentation aligns with product goals and user needs.
- Maintain and update a knowledge base of documentation and FAQs as our software evolves.
- Follow and contribute to our software style guide.

- Possess exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Can break down complex concepts into clear and concise explanations.
- Inspire trust through openness, honesty, and transparency in communications.
- Work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Have proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe products.

**Qualifications**:

- Currently enrolled in your **3rd or 4th year of a Bachelor of Communication Studies Program**, with a major in **Professional Communications**.
