**Job Summary**:
A busy locally-owned and operated adventure company has an opening for an Operations & Reservations Manager to oversee their crew and ensure excellent service is offered to their customers this winter and beyond. Flexible schedule with room for time on the slopes and a fun, friendly team plus other perks. **About the role**:
- Flexible schedule - Business hours are 8am-8pm. Usually work 8am-4pm including one day on the weekend but lots of flexibility.
- Wage starts at $22-$25 /hour based on past experience with room for growth.

- Ideal applicant will have managed a Rafting or other tourism related business
- At least 2 years in a similar role and at least 1 year of management experience
- Previous experience at another Adventure Company or tourism related experience ideal. Ideally managed busy summer operation; rafting, zipline etc.
- Outgoing Multitasker with the ability to juggle multiple tours and tasks in a busy work environment
- Ability to see the big picture and communicate between guests/reservations and operations
- Excellent customer service skills, of exceeding guest expectations.
- Computer savvy, proficient in MS Word, Excel and experienced with reservations systems; Bookeo, Viator, Expedia, Inntopia
- Administratively very strong and organized.
- Knowledge of Whistler very beneficial.
- Action oriented - can think for self, take the initiative and trouble-shoot when challenges arise.
- Excellent communication and phone etiquette in English; able to listen, understand, clarify, and confirm verbally and in writing.
- Good with numbers and pays close attention to detail.
- Familiarity with social media and digital marketing is beneficial, Adobe and or Dreamweaver an asset
**Duties / Responsibilities include**:
- Oversee the reservations department and team including day-to-day operation of a busy reservations office
- Communicate and coordinate the flow of reservations and bookings and work closely with the operations team to ensure flawless customer service
- Ensure all individual, group and corporate bookings and inquiries are handled in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Management, supervision, training, motivation and support of the reservations team of about 5 agents.
- Administration of company reservations, customer information and database.
- Resolve any customer booking issues that arise efficiently and effectively even while under pressure.
- Contribute to the company’s overall sales and marketing efforts and assist it in exceeding its objectives.
- Coordinate resources to allow for last-minute bookings and high business volumes.
Assist with the coordination of operations and scheduling on a daily basis.
Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Every Weekend
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
