Amir Quality Meats is a wholesale meat production company located in Brampton Ontario with an immediate opening for a HACCP Food Safety Manager. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, driven, outside of the box thinker to help grow our business.

This role requires someone with strong attention to detail, dependable multitasking skills who can work quickly under pressure and in a demanding and fast-paced environment. All the duties are performed in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP standards and standards of health and safety in the workplace.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Performs daily food safety procedures while overseeing the HACCP program.
- Responsible for overseeing and maintaining the HACCP plans and programs.
- Ensure the facility is in compliance with all applicable CFIA regulatory.
- Conducts audits at the facility and for external supplier's audits if needed.
- Act as a primary liaison with the CFIA Inspection and with 3rd party auditing agencies.
- Ensure timely closure to necessary corrective action items associated with any 3rd
party, internal or CFIA audits.
- Conducts HACCP training of Team members in the facility along with other applicable Food Safety related training.
- Establish and maintain products specifications and quality attributes.
- Determine and coordinate external laboratory needs.
- Perform environmental sampling and product sampling.
- Maintain quality system compliance at the facility to meet all customers and internal finished product specifications.
- Investigates and resolves quality deviations and customer complaints.
- Communicate with suppliers, customers and contract service providers to ensure all issues are resolved.
- Ensure label compliance with CFIA regulations.
- Support new product launches by ensuring new hazards are not introduced to the
plant and the HACCP plan is updated in a timely manner.
- Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet safety and quality standards.

**What you bring**:

- At least 5 years experience with a focus on HACCP/Food Safety
- Experience in food, or similar industry
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven management experience
- Demonstrated problem solving skills, good attention to detail and basic math skills
- Results oriented, sense of responsibility and good judgment
- Demonstrates a high degree of autonomy, initiative and resourcefulness
- Must be able to work in a cold environment (-18C in the freezer and 4C in the cooler)
- Experience in food safety, HACCP
- Ability to understand and process paperwork as required
- Must be punctual, reliable, and hardworking
- **MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN CANADA**:

- **Must be able to work Monday to Saturday**

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree
- HACCP and Food Safety Certifications
- SQF Certification
