**Sport and Recreation Supervisor**

The Zatzman Sportsplex, built in 1982, is a family-focused health, fitness, and recreation complex that serves Dartmouth’s communities and all regions of the Halifax Regional Municipality. The former Dartmouth Sportsplex offered an arena, running track, racquetball and squash courts, full fitness centre, two swimming pools, and various meeting spaces. In February of 2019, the facility completed a major $28 million revitalization project, re-opening with new features such as a double gymnasium, new fitness centres and equipment, new welcoming community spaces, and so much more. In addition to the physical renovations, the facility is also launching a large-scale community outreach and accessibility program to reduce barriers and ensure that everyone in our community can play at the Sportsplex.

Currently, the Zatzman Sportsplex is seeking a highly organized, people-focused Sport and Recreation Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall operation of non-aquatic, all ages sport programming as well as day camps, youth nights, skating and child minding.

We’re looking for an individual who:

- Has experience with sport programming and camps
- Is organized
- Has computer skills and can use programs such as excel, word, and database software
- Enjoy working on a team, can manage many priorities at once, and thrive on helping others achieve their goals
- Can work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

The Sport and Recreation Supervisor contributes to the business development of the Sportsplex through the design of fun, skill developing and educational programs that meet the needs of today’s families and users. The program experience is such that participants gain valuable physical literacy to provide a desire and foundation for lifelong sport participation. This position also coordinates the gymnasium schedule and books outside users, ensuring a balance of community use and sport programming.

This is a full-time, permanent position with the Zatzman Sportsplex. We offer a supportive work environment including vacation, benefits, and a matching pension plan.

**Salary**: $45,000.00 per year
